For the past 44 years I have been seated at that quilting frame during the Kutztown Folk Festival. After 74 years it has been cancelled and the quilt I was working on is still in the frame!
Here are a few pictures to reminisce about days spent at the festival.
At one time I wanted to do postcards from the festival so I went in early and carried my quilt all over the grounds.
Then I thought of a book with stories, crafts, and recipes from the festival. None of these things happened as it seems I was always too busy sewing to get ready!
This picture and one following are on my computer in the proper orientation, but then it took several tries just to get the pictures uploaded to this page. GRRRRR
These were the noisiest birds, you could hear them all over the grounds.
I hope you enjoyed this trip down memory lane. It seems so strange sitting here and not driving down today to set up.
We will miss seeing all of you. I will still have handmade items and fabric to sell but now you have to work harder to find me.
Enjoy your fourth, I will be trying to find out what everyone does on that day.
