Merry Christmas!!  I hope your New Year is Great.

It seems my ramblings have become quite sporatic, of course 'Annual' is an option.

We have been somewhat out of commission since August--Rotary cutters could be classified as a dangerous weapon.  I have discovered we actually live in a 'medical desert'.   The first doctor shouldn't be allowed to see anyone but after two months I did find a great doctor who fixed the tendon in my finger.   Two more weeks of a pin holding it straight and then two months of therapy and it will be as good as new.  If you happened to have been at Oaks in September you will be happy to know the ordeal is almost over, I know I am!   Just in time to go to more shows.

I have found ways to stitch, although not as easily as with eight good fingers.

At the Kutztown Folk Festival a visitor was lamenting the fact she could not wear an apron as she could not reach around her back to tie one.   A challenge!!   This is our Cobbler's Apron Pattern but it opens in the front with a zipper instead of being open in the back.   There are side belt loops to hold the ties in place so now she can easily get into it and tie it in the front.   I have added this view to our pattern as I think there may be others with the same difficulties.

Wilmington Prints has a new line called 'Zest for life' with lemons, daisies, and honey bees.   This is the placemat panel that accompanies the line.  I am in the process of making a walker bag with two of the placemats and will have an apron with the placemats as front pockets at the next show.

Susan Winget also has a new line for Wilmington Prints.  Hydrangea Mist.  The panel and some flower and butterfly coordinates that are perfect for spring projects.  I haven't quite decided what I want to make with this but it is just too pretty to not use it.

The last spring fabric I have here is Seeds to Sew from Robert Kaufman.  I can't wait to make this into a spring themed duffle bag.  Speaking of a duffle bag, in Novi a visitor showed me the one she made with our pattern and some poppy fabric we had.  It was beautiful!

There are really a lot of fabrics arriving but there are just a few to get you in the mood for some Spring decorating.

Thank you all for a great 2023 and I hope you 2024 is the best ever.

Happy Quilting,

Marilyn
