Summertime and the Berry picking is easy however my arms seem to be a smorgasbord for flying insects and a dart board for thorns!  They are wild so no 'thornless varieties'.  One day I did have this helper.   Elderberries are next -- hopefully they will wait until the return from Raleigh.

 

 

 

It is Christmas in July, or so it seems.   We have received so many new Christmas Panels.   This advent calendar from Northcott will be great to teach number recognition and ordering--painlessly learning math concepts.  Notice the numbers are not in order so the little ones will have to find the next number.  This panel stitches up so quickly.  You can quilt the top ............

Who turned the calendar two pages at a time, there is just no way we can be half-way through 2021. 

For only the second time in the last 40 years I won't be dressed in a long calico skirt and bonnet marching around the festival grounds in a very loosely formed parade on the Fourth.  I am going to have to find something fun to do before hopefully back to work next year.   

I am sure it is just to add to my confusion this year, the Original Sewing and Quilt Expo that is usually held in April in Cleveland will be in just a few week in Akron.  I have been to this facility before and it is clean and well maintained.  Parking is very close and you don't have to give up your first born child to park there.&............
