in a few hours I will be headed to Hershey to set up for Quilt Odyssey.  Hopefully you will have a chance to visit.  Usually it is incredibly hot and ends with a major thunderstorm.   Last year I got out of town just before the flooding took over.  This year the weather seems to be a bit more settled (Where is that wood?!?!)

We received some great new fabrics and some I have even used.   Click on the pictures for further details.

Floral Serenade from Wilmington Prints.

For some reason when I saw it I thought 'Tote' and so it became.

This is the easiest tote you will ever make.  After attaching the fusible pellon craft batting I folded it in half and marked a line across the fold with pins.   Then I quilted  two lines, each 1 1/2" from that center marked line.   This formed the bad bottom.  I cross hatch quilted both sides and was ready to make the bag.

Stitch the sides together, square off the bottom corners, and add handles and a lining.   This would work for any panel that doesn't have a definite top and bottom.

These sunflowers would also do well as a bag.

Pheasant Run from Blank Quilting also spoke to me but more as a throw.

all over print:

Block Party Studios has some great saying panels.   Chocolate is my passion is one and we used it in conjunction with the Cuppa Cocoa line from Wilmington Prints.

Hope to see you in Hershey this weekend!
