THON starts tonight

Feb 19, 2016

This weekend, in the middle of the 'spring' semester, PSU STUDENTS will raise millions for Childhood Cancer research. 94% of the amount raised goes to Research and only 4% for administrative costs--unlike so many charities that are the exact opposite.

Throughout the year 10% of the sales from PSU merchandise is donated to special Olympics and THON. This weekend 10% of any purchase from our Penn State Proud Page will go exclusively to THON. Donations can be made at www.thon.org

Let's make the total $16 million in 2016!

After years, we finally took the plunge and had some blue and white fabric printed. The license process is still in the works so the paw print is not the 'official' print but the fabric should coordinate nicely with the other licensed PSU fabric.

The white looks cream her but it is a pure white, like the paw prints on the navy. Would make a great bed skirt and curtains for a PSU bedroom,or a table cloth for tailgating. How about some napkins for the next pre-bowl game dinnner.

Tuesday night I will be leaving for Mid Atlantic Quilt Fest in Hampton, Virginia. February 25 through 28 and a few days after that to Somerset, New Jersey at the Garden State Convention Center for New Jersey Quilt and Sewing Festival.

Please stop by and say hi when you visit either of these shows. Les's hope the weather is a bit better than last year when the opening day of both days were snowed out.

We will have some new patterns and fabrics ready for the show.

constructed with fabrics from Blank Quilting's Honey and Berries Line.

We also have a new wooden sign that will be at the shows. "Lovin' Live in my Sewing Room' With any kind of luck wemay get this on the web site before leaving for the shows! It shouldn't be a problem but of course the camera is 'here' and the sign is 'there'.

I had intended to announce this time that we were not going to be at the Kutztown Folk Festival this year, but we will once again we will be sitting under the tent working on another quilt.

Off to pick up some patterns and finish getting things ready for Mid-Altlantic, Please stop by and say Hey!

Happy Quilting,
Marilyn
