Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah

Dec 2, 2009

We have just received some great panels and coordinates. Be sure to check out the Winter Diane Phalen Scenes and the Deer panels. The junior partners really like the kitten panel.

Check out the special prices on our Travel Mugs, Bistro Mugs, and Quilter's Candy Jars--great gifts for your special quilting friend.

To celebrate the holdiays try out this cookie recipe. We developed this when we had too many almond joy candy bars. They are similar to the Peanut Blossoms made with peanutbutter and kisses but have a cocoanut base instead.

Cocoanut Blossoms

2/3 cup white sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup cocoanut
2 eggs,beaten
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
3-1/4 cups flour

Blend sugars, butter or margarine, and flavoring.
Add eggs.
Blend well.
Add flour, salt and baking soda.
Roll into walnut sized balls and bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 350ยบ.
Immediately upon removal from oven top with half of a mounds candy bar, candied cherry, or cherry cordial kiss.
Drizzle each cookie with powdered sugar icing and sprinkles.

Enjoy and Happpy Holidays.
